Who we are

Coordinator: Ryan Andreasen

Watching the rapid growth in Utah, I noticed something that was being taken away and no one was noticing.  That was the disappearance of the night sky.  Light pollution has since been an enemy of mine and found myself working hard to bring awareness to this silent menace.

Our home Dark Sky Park

Our home of Utah, we boast the most Dark Sky Parks in the world.  Antelope Island State Park is situated in the middle of the Great Salt Lake and is near the major population of Salt Lake City.   Rated as a Bronze Medal Dark Sky Park with a Bortle of 4, we visit this park frequently as our laboratory and teaching site to explore the sky.  It is our mission to protect it's vital resource of a dark sky by bringing awareness to light pollution in our community.
